Do You Know Who You Are?
Week 3: Do You Know Who You Are?
Scripture:
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you….”
Psalms 139 1-3
Matthew 10:30
Reflection:
Have you ever thought about how God sees you? Well, I have. This week we are going to talk about it. Let’s start with Jermiah chapter one. He talks about how God knew us before we were formed in the womb. I’m not sure how you guys feel about that but that makes me feel special! My heavenly father picked me to be on this earth before my parents even thought of me.
Let’s move on to Psalms 139:1-3 it says: “O lord you have searched me and know me; you know my sitting down and my rising you understands my thought afar off and comprehends my path and my lying down….” The creator of the world is looking for me. Verse 16 “your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed” He saw me complete before he began making me.
Now let’s go to Matthew 10:30 it says, “but the very hairs of your head are all numbered” My mom doesn’t even know the amount of hair that’s on my head, but God does!
And finally, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. This one I believe is the greatest because God would give up his son for me that tells me in his eyes, I am special, important, and loved. In a way it should make us look at ourselves differently. The creator of the world loves us beyond what we can imagine no matter how we got here.
So, if you haven’t done this lately speak life into yourself, love yourself a little extra today and most important don’t give up on yourself keep fighting because you have a purpose.
Prayer:
Dear heavenly father, thank you for taking your time with making me, thank you for loving me when somedays I don’t love myself, thank you for choosing me and we promise to keep going because we know that you love us more than anyone could in Jesus name I pray amen.
